Discover its story !
Its history started around the year 1000 and was founded by the Count of Blois, then conquered by Foulque Nerra, and became the stronghold of the Plantagenets with Eleanor Queen of France and England. You can see in Fontevrault Abbey the tombs of the Royal family.
